About Bridge View Cottage | ||||
A traditional Dales retreat, Bridge View Cottage dates back to the early 1800's. Situated in the heart of Swaledale, The Cottage has recently been bought and renovated and retains many of its original features making for a wonderful holiday home. The sounds of Gunnerside Beck can be enjoyed from the garden that provides a sun trap for much of the day during the Summer months. The views can also be enjoyed from the window seat in the lounge with your morning coffee. The wood burning stove in the lounge ensures comfort and warmth in the Winter months, so whether its a short break in winter or a walking trip in Summer, Bridge View Cottage has something for all seasons. Ground Floor Double Bedroom Bathroom with roll top bath & shower 1st Floor Open plan lounge Kitchen Dining Area Sofa Bed Bridge View Cottage is located in Gunnerside, a small village situated in the district of Richmondshire on the B6270 road. It lies 6 miles west of Reeth and 6 miles East of Keld between the River Swale and its tributary, Gunnerside Beck. Lying on the Coast to Coast route Gunnerside also boasts a variety of great walks from the village itself. In the village you will find two fantastic eateries. The Kings Head serves really good pub food for lunch and dinner and of course Yorkshire’s famous Black Sheep. A roaring fire and warm welcome await you. Ghyll foot tea rooms and bistro serves lunches and teas all day, dinners 2 evenings a week and a cracking Sunday lunch, followed by Bobs famous desserts.
