About Keld Head Cottages | ||||
![]() We have nine spacious and well-equipped holiday cottages furnished to a high standard. Available to guests are a large garden and play area with a summer house and BBQ area. Some of the cottages include their own private gardens. Our quality self catering holiday cottages are open all year round. They maintain their original character with exposed beams and traditional stone fireplaces. The holiday cottages vary in size and sleep from 2 to 8 people. Keld Head Farm Cottages was originally a traditional, stone built farm. In 1989 these farm buildings were tastefully converted into holiday cottages, and since then we have built two new cottages and continued to update the original cottages. The cottages sit next to fields where sheep and cows still graze. Flowing rivers, swaying fields of barley, and relaxing woodlands are all a short walk away. Similarly, the quaint market town of Pickering is only a fifteen minute walk from the cottages. Pickering boasts a heritage steam railway, a medieval castle, a museum, a church with intact 15th century wall paintings, and a variety of shops, eateries, and pubs. Slightly further afield is the North York Moors national park, which can be accessed in ten minutes by car. Alternatively, if you fancy a day out to the ancient coastal towns of Whitby, Scarborough and the historic city of York can all be accessed by car in about forty minutes. All of these facilities are on-site and available to use for everyone;
