|About Townend Cottage|
Townend Cottage is a lovely, cosy, comfortable 4* cottage with a wealth of character. Oak beams, internal stone features, log fire, large well equipped dining kitchen & groundfloor cloakroom. A warm welcome awaits all seasons.
The cottage is ideally situated in the village of Beadlam, on the southern edge of the North York Moors National Park, just off the A170 and is midway between the lovely market towns of Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside.
This beautiful part of Yorkshire offers a huge variety of places to visit and activities to enjoy. Excellent walks about for those so inclined.
Short breaks are available and pets are also welcome.
Our award winning cottage dates back to around the 16th Century and has been beautifully converted and modernised throughout to ensure that all our visitors feel like they are right at home from the moment they arrive.
There are a vast number of places to visit include the North York Moors, Yorkshire Coast, The Wolds and even the Yorkshire Dales - all within easy travelling distance. There is a wonderful variety of castles such as Helmsley, Pickering and Castle Howard houses and gardens in the area.
